Who doesn’t love a good ghost story? Travel to any city in the world and you’re likely to find haunted landmarks and the ghost tours to go with them. Whether or not you’re a believer, the history behind the ghostly sightings at the following three castles may give you chills.
Outside of Romania, especially in the English-speaking world, Transylvania is a land associated with vampires, specifically Dracula. Inside Romania, where Vlad the Impaler is a national hero, his associations with the famed vampire are not as popular, though Transylvania is arguably still known for being home to one of the creepiest sites in the world.

Soma is both the name of a god and a substance in Hindu mythology. As a deity, Soma is one of the most important gods in the Rigveda. According to the Puranas, Soma is often depicted as a god riding a three wheeled chariot that is pulled by a team of 10 white horses, or a celestial bull, a giant rising from the waters, a bird, the lord of plants, and an embryo. He is an ancient deity who is in charge of several important aspects of life, one being the bringer of fortune and health.
According to Hollow Earth Theory, the Earth is a hollow planet with ancient entrances to the subterranean world scattered throughout it, including near both polar caps. Since ancient times, some have believed that there is an underground world inside our planet illuminated by a tiny sun, and it includes mountains, forests, and lakes.
Hy-Brasil is a legendary island that appeared roughly 200 miles off the west coast of Ireland on old maps. Hy-Brasil is derived from the name Breasal, associated with High Kings in Celtic history.
Throughout history, there have been numerous recorded instances of strange objects falling from the sky - fish, frogs, candy, jellyfish, beans, nuts, seeds, worms, spiders, and all manner of bizarre and unlikely objects. The most popular explanation is that strong winds whisk objects up from the ground or water and hurl them towards an unexpected location many miles away.
